Healing Wheels Uganda

Healing Wheels Uganda — Driving Health. Empowering Learning.

“Healing kids, one school at a time”

We drive free, high-quality healthcare straight to the school gate — so that no child in Uganda is kept out of the classroom by an illness we could have treated.

Welcome

Healthcare that comes to the child — not the other way around

Healing Wheels Uganda identifies health barriers to learning among school-going children and provides free on-site management, so every child can fulfil their potential.

Every year millions of school days are lost to conditions we already know how to treat: malaria, dental disease, malnutrition, poor menstrual hygiene, and undiagnosed vision and hearing problems. Our clinics travel to the school, treat the child in a single visit, and refer the complex cases into the public health system.

Featured Project

Malukhu Primary School, Mbale

The success of our inaugural medical camp is a testament to what healthcare professionals can do when they work together. Hundreds of children received life-changing medical attention in a single day, and the camp uncovered serious findings that required immediate action.

  • 500+ children reached in a single day — 259 formally screened and treated.
  • Free sanitary kits distributed with ECO Pads.
  • Complex cases referred for cardiac ECHOs and CT scans.
