KidCare Initiative

When a child falls sick where a clinic can’t reach, care shouldn’t depend on the road.

So every child can:

Not yet on the road. KidCare is a plan we are actively shaping and raising support for. Every figure below is a target we are designing towards — honest intent, not results already banked.
The Idea

The same care, for children the classroom never reaches

Many children fall outside the school system altogether — in rural parishes, peri-urban slums and refugee-hosting areas — and carry the same untreated illnesses.

KidCare would take fully equipped mobile clinics to children at community centres, refugee settlements and rural parishes: routine and urgent screening, basic treatment, health education, menstrual and psychosocial support, and structured referral integrated with public health infrastructure.

A child at a community outreach
  • Routine and urgent medical screening in community settings.
  • Basic treatment and health education for children and caregivers.
  • Menstrual health and psychosocial support services.
  • Structured referral integrated with the public health system.

Design Targets · Year 1
  • 1

A national reach, region by region

Beginning in three priority regions and extending countrywide — reaching children in community centres, settlements and rural parishes, not only schools.

  • 2

    ≥60% fewer illness-related absences

Among children in the communities we would serve.

  • 3

$13.21 average cost per child / year

Holding to the cost-efficiency of the flagship model.

  • 4

    Three priority regions, then nationwide

A staged roadmap for scale-up as capacity and funding grow.
