Where we want to go next

Today our whole focus is school-going children. These four initiatives are the future we are designing and raising support for — the same mobile-health model, extended to others the system leaves behind.

Planned initiative

KidCare Initiative

When a child falls sick where a clinic can’t reach, care shouldn’t depend on the road.

So every child can:

📈 The need: 1 in 2 children fall sick at least once a year (SJH Research Africa, 2021)

Planned initiative

Mama Initiative

When the nearest clinic is hours away, distance shouldn’t decide who survives childbirth.

So every mother can:

📈 The need: 336 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births (WHO, 2023)

Single Mother Initiative

When a young mother is turned away by stigma, care and dignity shouldn’t be out of reach.

So every young mother can:

📈 The need: ~1 in 4 girls aged 15–19 have begun childbearing (UBOS, 2022)

ElderCare Initiative

When an elder can no longer travel to care, care should travel to them.

So every elder can:

📈 The need: 1.6M+ Ugandans are 60+, and 80% live in rural areas (UBOS, 2022)
